January 2024 Advocacy Days

Registration is closed for this event
Faith leaders gather for training and advocacy on issues before the state legislature that impact hunger, poverty, and wellbeing of all Floridians.

The Florida Faith Advocacy Days will be centered at the Florida People's Advocacy Center in Tallahassee, a mile north of the Capitol.
Affordable overnight accomodations are SOLD OUT and NO LONGER available at the Center.
The trainings and meals will be held there.

  • Early arrivals begin Sunday afternoon, January 28.
  • Training on issues and legislative meetings will be Monday afternoon, January 29.
  • An interfaith prayer service for a just society will be held Monday evening.
  • Meetings with legislative offices and committee appearances will occur on Tuesday, January 30.

In your community ministries, what do you see? Hungry families? Houseless people? Returning citizens unable to get started on the right foot? Looming ecological crises? Discrimination and prejudice towards those who are different in heritage and gender and sexuality? Domestic and community violence? Struggling schools? Lack of healthcare? Sky-rocketing cost of living? Meanness towards immigrants and newcomers? All of these issues and more are directly effected by public policy. Your experiences and stories of ministry matter. Come tell them to those who make policy. Help shape Florida for the common good.
